Wingshooting pheasant with a bow
When Brooks Johnson and I told people we were gonna try wingshooting pheasant with a bow and a recurve everyone thought we were crazy. But with a quiver full of flu flus tipped with Snaros we got it done at Birdseye View in Wisconsin. Even then a lot of folks didn’t believe us. Until we showed them the video footage that is….
Wingshooting pheasant with a bow
We started out wingshooting pheasant with a bow behind a flushing dog, and that worked, but once Carey at Birdseye View (906) 221 0783 brought out his german shorthair pointer our success rate more than doubled. We were ready for the flush, our feet were in the right position, and we were ready to draw.
That first day wingshooting pheasant Carey showed us how to recall the birds we missed to a recall pen. It worked great! After buying birds it sucks watching them fly away, but most of our misses were back in the recall pen within an hour or two.
