Flu flu fletching is a spectator sport and novelty to most, but it is really not out of reach. Where do you think all those little tone arrow heads every body collects came from. Man has been trying to kill birds from the air for thousands of years, and the joy when you connect is the main reason. Flu flu fletching equipment
Flu flu fletching requires no special equipment if your the King of Sultan, but for most of us special gear is minimal, but required. We can use either compound, recurve or longbow, and all will need be equipped with flu flu style fletch on the arrows. A flu flu arrow travels 1/3 to 1/2 the cast of a traditional arrow, and the design parachutes to the ground at the end of the shot meaning the arrows are standing straight up waiting for you to find them. Flu flu arrow are the same price as regular practice arrows, but you will rarely ever break or lose one so you don’t need as many. Take 6 of your old unused hunting shafts and get some 5 inch uncut flu flu feathers glued on and you are ready to go.
The other piece of equipment you will enjoy is a Snaro bird point. You can get Snaro bird point in 6 inch, or 3 inch diameters, and this slight increase in diameter is a huge advantage when shooting targets or birds on the fly.
Flu flu fletching practice
If you are shooting a recurve or long bow it is very easy to kick or throw your targets while holding the bow with an arrow nocked and ready to go in the other. Start big. Real big. It’s fun to hit the target and you won’t need to walk 100 yards to get arrows stuck in a Nerf Ball 15 yards away. Double the pleasure and half the walking.
